Coloured ink bubble painting

I created this Coloured ink bubble painting with a bubble expert of mine ‘bubbles’. She found the perfect mix of bubble mixture, previously developed with my husband, and ink so that the bubbles were light enough to float but vibrant enough to leave a mark on the paper. I then ran about try to catch the bubbles on the card and popped them with a pencil as soon as they landed. We found that leaving the bubbles to burst on the card in their own time left quite a different fainter mark. There’s something about the bubble marks that reminds me of nerve cells. Some sort of manic synaptic event in the brain.

This version has had the colours edited for a toy brand, for use on their website. I’ll copy in a link when it’s up.
