Personalised Wallpaper Design
I created this personalised wallpaper design for an interior design client I had last year. They asked me to decorate their flat and buy homeware and some furniture. I enjoyed going to markets and art galleries to pick out the right items for them. The flat started as a white box with no personality so I came up with some mood boards for designs on the apartment in London Bridge that added muted natural colours, textures and some in built practical features like radiator covers that worked as shelves and a wardrobe built into an alcove.
One of the rooms had a grey and light pink colour scheme. I had commissioned an artist, Claudia Van Oosterom, to create a geometric 3D sculpture piece for the wall in white called Tesselate. I felt that style could be reflected in other areas of the room and so I designed a bespoke personalised wallpaper in the same geometric style as the sculpture but incorporating the owners pets into it. I wanted the animals to be difficult to see from a distance, so you ha to go looking for them a bit. The client loved it.
I’ll put up some photos of the interior design once I get the shots from the photographer.
