I created these paper sculpture gems, botanical leaves and gem shapes out of card. I used my new Silhouette Cameo Silhouette cutter I got for christmas from my hubby. It’s a great tool. I just used shapes I created for other designs and outlined them. I used my experience in paper flower making to create multiple layered concentric petal shapes and experimented with coloured card and our fabulous new camera and my studio lights. It’s super fun and I could keep going with the different combinations but I only needed a few. This started off as an mood board for a wedding table centre design project for a high end event company called Bentleys. It’s now grown into a few other projects for framed artwork commissions for residential houses.

I made these 3D paper angular shapes to look a little like crystals. I like the multiple angles and surfaces it creates great shadows. All these surfaces at different angles will work well for the plan I have in my head. This is a test project for the event design I’m doing for a luxury show in London this year. The event design needs to showcase creativity in an entertaining way that is innovative and memorable. I wanted to test the arrangement at a smaller size and then scale it up. The idea eventually will be to make them all out of white card to fill the huge wall space and then splash paint all over them. This part of the event might be live on the opening night and videoed. Either way it’s going to look fab!
The company running the event is Langstroth, they specialises in Luxury watch events in London.
