Illustration for a charity
I created these animal character illustrations for a set of T-shirts for a charity called Can Do. The charity helps local Syrian humanitarians with crowd funding for their projects providing food aid, psychological training and education amongst other things.
Can Do make sure all the funding goes straight to the cause: ‘We are connecting you directly to the first responders in war; the locals. 100% of every donation supports their life saving work, yes that’s 100%!’
The campaign inspired people to overcome obstacles with these animals doing the impossible.
‘Be more Can Do’.
We needed the characters to have some personality and a little comedy as the charity wanted to inspire people rather than use fear and guilt and negative emotion to persuade them into donating. I used the skin/ fur texture from photographs of the animal to add depth and texture.
