These are some of the 19 Illustrated Baby Milestone Cards I design for the brand Baby Boo Boo. They are milestone markers for stages in baby development like ‘I smiled for the first time’ to be given as gifts to new mothers. The client wanted them all in black and white so they would appeal to a male audience as well as female. There’s a space on the back for writing the date of the developmental stage. I choose some abstract hand drawn patterns, polka dots and stripes, to keep it organic. The sharp circles work well in contrast with the rough textured shapes. The client was happy and the job was turned around pretty quick once we got the print spec established. As soon as I get sent the printed versions I’ll post a photo of the cards.
