When I moved to Berlin, I started a sketch book that I filled with things I’d found, photos, sketches and quotes. I filled the book in about 2 years and it’s now one of my most precious things I own as it reminds me of everything that happened there, better than anything else could. I smile every time I look through it. I planned to continue this exercise and start another book for London but of course it hasn’t happens as London swallows your time like no other place. Those years in Berlin are forever captured in the book and I though it would be just me that sees it. Then I had the opurtunity to use some of the pages for a series of cards, mugs and t-shirts I designed for Moonpig. Now the vintage photos I found in Treptow flor markt and the photo booth images from Bar 25 are being used as place holder images for photo upload cards and mugs for Moonpig (where you upload your own photos to the design). It’s nice to know they’re getting an airing.
